Haruhi Suzumiya (2009)

so I should probably start up a thread now for this. Reason I hadn't earlier was that i was keeping the series a secret from Kero until I had a chance to secretly throw in a review for the issue.

Anyway with the fact that Tomorrow is going to be the 7th of the new episodes and the 6th of the Endless Eight arc I must say that the new episodes have been rather disappointing. KyoAni is really doing them selves in by throwing in an arc that after 2 eps has become completely filler. To make matters worse they're pretty much foregoing the Disappearance of Haruhi arc which had been promised for so long. Rumor has it though that there will be the Sighs of Haruhi arc which is the making of the adventures of Mikuru Asahina.

To explain thing a bit better for those who don't know. Haruhi Suzumiya (2009) is the original 14 episodes shown in chronological order with a further 14 new episodes thrown in where they fit to make the series reach a total of 28 episodes. Currently new episodes appear at episode 8 (after the boredom of Haruhi) and episode 12-17 (the endless eight arc appearing after remote island syndrome). We can only hope at the moment that the new episodes improve (or at the very least that tomorrow's ep is the last endless eight ep) and that there may be another new series to come later with the Disappearance of Haruhi arc.

kERO!!! NANI SOREEE !! well this series was quite surprising for me, but well good job Dave for keeping it secret from me all this time, hahah... i didnt really expect that it would be suzumiya 2009 that you would be reviewing about.

So, they gonna make the dissapearance of Haruhi arc as well this time?! VERY GOOD! i am waiting so much for that, this arc gonna be very interesting, but seriously the hype didnt go as much as crazy as last time.

anyone know why is that?

It is because it keep repeat repeat repeat sorry repeating the same story on a Summer Holiday time loop (hope it ends on the 8th episode of the arc). I hope Kyon can admit his feelings as it might be the key they seek. I am enjoying the new opening track, I already have the full version

I love the new op as well. Very catchy tune. But nah disappearance of haruhi arc probably won't be in this season at all, at least at the rate they're going.

Being someone who's read the novels I know how this is going to end and it's probably even more boring than the repetitions we've been getting. Unless they change it from the novels it's going to be highly anti-climatic.

Edit: looking retrospectively at the review I've written for issue 15 the whole thing would have been completely different if I knew that what at the time was 2 eps of Endless 8 was going to turn into 7 or even 8 eps.
